The Anne & Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (Hebrew: ??????? ?????? ?"? ???????), or "Tanenbaum CHAT", is a secondary Jewish day school which is located on two campuses in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. At the graduation ceremony in June 2006, it was announced that due to a major gift, the school would cease to be known as the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto or CHAT, and would be renamed the Anne and Max Tannenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto, or TanenbaumCHAT. In May 2008, another name change took place, due to another major donation. The school would now be known as "The Anne and Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto Wallenberg Campus" or "TanenbaumCHAT Wallenberg" (TCW). The name was decided after a school wide vote, and Wallenberg had the most votes from students and staff (named after a non-Jew, Raoul Wallenberg who saved many, many Jews in the Holocaust) Contents [hide] 1 Locations 2 Feeder patterns 3 Notable alumni 4 External links 5 Notes [edit] Locations The southern campus "Tanenbaum CHAT Wallenberg (Named in honour of Raoul Wallenberg) Campus (known as TCW) is located at 200 Wilmington Ave. in Toronto, and serves students living south of Steeles Avenue.
